When you say your "charge stripe app" what do you mean exactly? Is this a 3rd party application you are using for your point of sale?

It says it’s powered by stripe and every time I try and turn on the reader and connect it to the tablet it doesn’t show up

Got it. In that case you are going to want to reach out to the developers of that application as they control the code for this. I unfortunately won't really be able to help you since we don't control that code.
