We talk about some of this stuff in our best-practices here: https://stripe.com/docs/webhooks/best-practices but mostly you just want to return a response immediately and never wait for processing on your end.

Then, as you noted, you can queue it if need be.

But yeah you really should never wait to send back to the 200 when you receive it
