I don't think you can change the customer of a subscription once the subscription has been created.
You'd need to cancel the previous one and then create a new one for the new customer
You can backdate the new subscription using subscription schedules

sorry to wade in but we have the same scenario on our site and is exactly what we do - cancel existing and create new
