How did you find that Stripe is the components that is pushing records to your browser history ?

Unfortunately this is something I cannot confirm 100%.

If you say that stripe 3d secure iframe never pushes anything to browser history, I'll have to double-check again if this is a bug in my application code.

Probably yeah you should check your integration about this.
what mentioned in the documentation, is applied when you set return_url but you are saying that you specify nothing

Maybe it uses current url by default?

When inspecting __privateStripeFrame src I see that url has referrer query param with current url of the page where iframe is displayed (Payment Page)
