We are looking to charge someone say £100 upfront, and then 3 months before the item is "due" the remainder balance

Can this be accounted for with subscription schedules?

Or does it need to be monthly, weekly etc..

I am guessing we would have to set the datrt, end dates manually?

I guess you could use a phase with a zero-amount price_xxx for 3 iterations between the final due amount

Sounds like they're just one-time payments? Nothing recurring about them

My recommendation:

• One-time payment for the £100.
• Schedule a follow-up one-time payment to occur X months later for remaining balance.

You'd need to schedule that API call/payment in your own integration with a cron job/queue or something

I don't think schedules make sense here as its a non-recurring payment really
