HI 👋 apologies for the delay. Off-hand, no I don't think there is. The only thing that comes to mind is to try loading the Hosted Invoice Page in an iframe, but I believe we block that.

Yeah I wouldn't want to do that, and there isn't an alternative URL is there

No, not that I'm aware. Hm, would it be possible to structure the link within your site so that it opens a new browser window the navigation bar? That seems like it would allow your customers to close the window when completed without losing their place on your site in the other window/tab.

Yeah, it's just that we'd need to check for the completion of the checkout happening - and just having the same return link makes it simpler and consistent. No worries.
