Hi, you are right that those 2 actions are async and there is no guarantee of order. I would recommend viewing checkout.session.completed separately, fulfill the order in your backend. But treat success_url simply as a display screen in your frontend

I see. It was then by luck that most of the time the subscription was updated when success_url is displayed. I will change it to say "your order has been received and your subscription should start shortly".
