Sure, someone wants to buy a $200 item and wants to get rid of that $100 bill that has been hanging around in their wallet and so they would pay for half of the order in cash, and half with credit.

Oh, gotcha. I think the best way to do that would be to use the display feature you linked to and add a "Cash paid" item, yeah.

Okay. I guess if I could make a feature request, it would be to to allow for additional cart properties such as "cash" cart[cash]=100 similar to how cart[tax]=100 has its own property and place on the display. Also, tax and subtotal could be displayed differently in order to make them more distinctly separate from the cart items (such as a horizontal line).
