hi! as far as I know there's no update for you when that happens.
So that we stop showing Apple Pay as a possible option to process payments for our customer who deactivated Apple Pay in the first place?
hmm, those settings you mention are intended for Stripe-hosted surfaces that handle that for you. For example if they disable iDEAL as a payment method, it just stops appearing in the CheckoutSession pages you create for that account as an option on the hosted page, you don't have to do anything differently in your integration.
So turning iDeal off by the connected account in their Stripe dashboard doesn't actually mean that this Connect account will stop accepting payments via iDeal or we won't be able to process iDeal payments for them?
Hey! Taking over for my colleague. Let me catch up.
@hushed leaf Can you confirm please? Thanks
As my colleague mentioned above:
if they disable iDEAL as a payment method, it just stops appearing in the CheckoutSession pages you create for that account as an option on the hosted page, you don't have to do anything differently in your integration.
So turning iDeal off by the connected account in their Stripe dashboard it mean that the payment won't show in the checkout session
But it could be still possible for my platform to process iDeal payments for them?
Yes you can, I invite you to test this scenario using Stripe Test mode:
https://stripe.com/docs/testing
You can find further details about connect and automatic payment methods fr further scenario here, in case that could help you in the future
