Example connected account: acct_1IJes2S3cYjZ6B2f
Subscription: sub_0LHpnL87iriRUvvJ0EYXAKVm
The Sep 4 invoice finalized just fine. Then the Oct 4 invoice failed. evt_0LpCeS87iriRUvvJAhlguZGt
Could someone in Stripe help us determine what could have gone wrong. I don't see any changes in the account/subscription that would have caused that.
Thanks!
Looking into it now
After checking, acct_1IJes2S3cYjZ6B2f's transfer and card_payments capability was updated to inactive due to requirements not completed
It was sent to connected account endpoint under account.updated event: evt_1LncviS3cYjZ6B2fQTK04YHw (2022-09-30 06:42:38 UTC)
The account's capabilities were only updated to active in evt_1LpHasS3cYjZ6B2fFjDS2FtN on 2022-10-04 20:19:58 UTC which was after the invoice finalisation failure: evt_0LpCeS87iriRUvvJAhlguZGt (2022-10-04 15:03:20 UTC)
That's helpful! Let me see if I understand it correctly...
On 09-30, the connected account's verification documentation expired "verification_document_expired"... and before they could verify things again, some invoices failed.
But it looks like transfers are now active again, so the account holder must have gotten a notification and verified? So it should be ok for the future? Or is this something that expires periodically?
Also, is it normal that I can't see the events you reference in Stripe UI.. I'm looking at the connected account in my dashboard, but there's no "event" section.... I do see those events in my webhook logs
Oh wait.. sorry I see it now... the search box doesn't return it, but if I drill into "View connected account logs" I can see it
so the account holder must have gotten a notification and verified?
Yes
So it should be ok for the future? Or is this something that expires periodically?
As long as there's no incomplete requirement, the capabilities will remain active
Yup, the connected account events are a little bit challenging to navigate in the dashboard
Thanks for your help!
No problem! Happy to help 😄
