I am not immediately sure about this. Looking in to this question and will get back to you
also, is it possible to transfer a card stored on a top level/primary account, to be a payout account for a connected account?
regarding the first question, the main blockers are it asks for an industry, but also a website
"No website? You can share an app store link, a business social media profile, or add a product description instead.
"
despite not being a business?
You can clone cards from your platforms to your connected accounts but only to use them as a payment method I believe.
I think in that case, you might want to go with the "add a product description" part of that message. I am looking in to whether it is possible for you to provide that description up front so they don't have to add their own (unless you want them to)
Yeah you should be able to set business info here. https://stripe.com/docs/api/accounts/create#create_account-business_profile-product_description

ok, and to confirm the above regarding cards, so there's no one-step way to have a payment method and payout method created in the same step? (ie same details)
Actually, as far as I can see, our payout calls take a normal card object. I may have been wrong, you may be able to use a cloned payment method here. Checking further in to this
thanks
Unfortunately it looks like you can't use the cloned payment methods. It looks like our reference doc mentions that the way to create a card on an account like this would be to use a token from Stripe.js https://stripe.com/docs/api/external_account_cards/create?lang=python

ok thanks. also is there a documented process for getting sign-off for a use case, would this be via sales? or?
Hello ๐
Taking over as Pompey had to step away
Can you expand a bit more on the following
also is there a documented process for getting sign-off for a use case, would this be via sales? or?
mostly because a use case we're considering is a relatively complicated flow, and I want to ensure we'd not be breaching TOS
Ah gotcha
You can write into our support team (support@stripe.com) and I believe they'll put you in touch with the right team.
ok great, thanks
NP! ๐ happy to help
