HI 👋 if the coupon has a duration of 3 months and is applied to a Subscription, then it will discount the price for the Invoices created for 3 months.
https://stripe.com/docs/billing/subscriptions/coupons#coupon-duration
The Promotion Code is a way to point to the Coupon, deleting the Promotion Code will not negate the Coupon.
Thanks for your quick response, I thought it was the model you told me about but there was a problem and my client was charged the amount without discount in 2 months
Can you share the ID of the Invoice and Subscription where you saw that behavior?
invoice id in_1Lq54IFjpuH1UtZ4HmzuaOMw
invoice id subscription sub_1LcfPUFjpuH1UtZ4M2CR6yqe
Thank you, apologies for the delay, pulling those up.
There is also a Subscription Schedule involved, so it's taking me a bit longer to parse through what you're doing.
On Sep 7th, this request was made which updated the Subscription Schedule associated with that Subscription:
https://admin.corp.stripe.com/iar/req_sFUO1FWJ4A5sAe
Specifically that update didn't contain the ID of the coupon for Phase 0 any more, so the phase was updated to not have a coupon applied which also removed the coupon from the Subscription that is being controlled by that Subscription Schedule.
When updating a Subscription Schedule, you'll want to ensure that you pass in any values that you want to persist. Most of the parameters will unset if a value is not provided for them.
