Hi there, my understanding is that is mostly for Custom account when merchant need to manually collect information from connected account user. If you are using Express you should have them onboarded successfully after they finished the Onboarding flow
But could be better to check with Stripe Support team
account.updated is a generic events, it could contains anything that is changed from the account
I was asking about collecting requirements from existing connected Express accounts
not about onboarding new accounts
Let's say user went through onboarding, created Express account
And after 4 month country and Stripe need some additional new data (like new law appears)
How to get this info from users? It seems that Stripe wants me and my platform to handle this, that's not done automatically by Onboarding?
I believe you just create another Account Link and they will go through it, fill in the new required information
But, sorry for repeating, Stripe Support team would have context and advices on such a scenario
Why have you suggested linking account? I need to get new info from users, not just link their existing Stripe account to my platform...
