Hey there
Can you share the Card ID for me to take a look at?
Usually this is normal and we are just making updates based on what the issuer tells us.
But I haven't seen a Card actually change networks before.
So I can take a look to see if anything jumps out
Card is card_1I8qacKoz4lNOAHNOTlh3l44 Trouble is we have a non-customer saying the charges were taken from her card (not instigated by her) so the card is potentially being used fraudulently. She has kept cancelling the card and having it reissued but seems we can then charge the new one!
That doesn't sound good. Let me take a look
Thank you
Err okay this does look to be the same bank
So it is entirely possible they are using both Visa and Mastercard
That said, it is possible the bank had an issue on their end and they updated the card incorrectly. We only reflect what the bank tells us here.
So the next best step is to have the card holder reach out to their bank and discuss why they updated their card in this way if that isn't actually their card
Otherwise, this seems overall normal to me.
Okay. Thanks for the info. It seems at least possible that the bank sent incorrect information to Stripe and hence the customer is incurring someone else's charges. We'll ask her to go back to them to double check that info.
