The message says "The PaymentIntent failed due to a timeout on the upstream provider's side" but to me it sounds too vague
Sure this can happen. The issuing bank timed out when handling our 3DS/auth attempts
So issue was caused by the bank and not by user's inaction?
Correct
Thats interesting. Thanks for the information
If it timed out due to user inaction, it'd be a similar payment_intent_authentication_failure error but the message would just say that authentication needs to be re-attempted
We have a customer claiming that the payment did go through. Can a timeout cause that?
This payment: pi_3LpEh7HUx3Bb1SOL0MgH9v0U?
Yes
To be more exact - there is some payment we cant find (the customer has a receipt), and it's for this customer around the same time as pi_3LpEh7HUx3Bb1SOL0MgH9v0U
