Hi there 👋 sorry but I'm not sure I'm following the question. When you refer to re-tokenizing the saved credit card, is this the card that you are in the process of saving or the previous payment method your user is updating?

Also, are you just allowing user's to change some details of a payment method, or is it possible that they could enter a completely new payment method (for instance a different card number if working with credit cards)?

If you're preparing new payment methods, and planning to use them for off-session payments, then yes it would be a good idea to handle any authentication while your user is on your site to complete any necessary challenges.
