Hi there

#

If the Subscription is being created on the Connected Account then it is the same as normal Subscriptions.

#

However, if you have a US platform for instance, you could use Cross Border Payouts to transfer funds to more Connected Account countries than we support for direct charges.

green musk
#

no, I speak of generally subscriptions vs generally conneted accounts

stark owl
#

Not sure what "generally subscriptions" means

#

That isn't a Stripe term

green musk
#

hm.

stark owl
#

Can you explain more what you are asking?

green musk
#

ok ley me try.

#

well stripe, service subscriptions

#

paid with a payment method, generally AFAIK credit card

#

I have set up my Saas with that

#

and I support a lot of countries.. never had any issue with any country - so far

#

but.. I might be wrong

#

now I am setting up connected accounts, for something else

#

but.. my customers can use the subscriptions - AND the conencted accounts

#

thats the idea at least

#

now in testing.. i used some county.. and boom... stripe exception

#

.StripeExternalException VC is not currently supported by Stripe.; code: country_unsupported;

stark owl
#

Okay so are you specifically asking if we support the same countries for payment from customers as we do for Connected Accounts?

green musk
#

yes

#

and I speak of express connected acocunts if that makes a difference

#

I found a list somewhere... of like 43 supported connect countries.. if I remmebrr correctly/
?

stark owl
#

Got it. In that case, no. These aren't the same. You can take payment from almost any country. However we only support certain countries for Express. Mostly the ones listed here: https://stripe.com/global

#

Yep that's correct

green musk
#

is there any country supported by connect but not by normal payments?

#

wait.. you said.. almost ANY country - but here I find just 47 countries? there are like 150 or more countries in the world

#

that would be a third

stark owl
#

No the 47 countries listed there are for creating Stripe accounts

#

There are a few countries you can't accept payments from due to Sanctions. Like North Korea for instance.

green musk
#

where can I see the others?

stark owl
#

But otherwise you can accept payment from anywhere

#

What others?

green musk
#

I mean where can I see a list og the payment allowed countries

stark owl
#

That basically indicates the presentment currencies

#

So you can accept from anywhere in those

green musk
#

and what means "indonesia and philippines - accept an invite"

#

for connect

#

does it mean supported, or not???

stark owl
#

It means they are in beta and not generally supported yet.

#

So you need to request an invite for access

green musk
#

ok so I assume then not supported / for now

stark owl
#

Yes that is fair for now

green musk
stark owl
#

Those are the different currencies you can charge in. So yes you can charge any customer in any country in those currencies

green musk
#

ok thanks

#

thats all for the moment

#

thanks

#

oh wait.. what about India

#

it says PREVIEW

#

but its in the list

stark owl
#

Hmm not sure why it says "preview" there. It is supported for creating an Account.

#

You may want to double check with our Support team on why it says "preview". They will know more than me about country support here as I focus on the API.

green musk
#

ok
