Okay that API request is just for creating the Setup Intent. At that point it is waiting on your integration to collect the details of the Payment Method.

There is no API request to confirm this particular setup intent

Well you haven't created a payment method to attach yet

#

You create the Setup Intent initially to allow you to create the payment method once the user enters the payment method details. Take a look at this doc for our canonical path for this type of integration: https://stripe.com/docs/payments/save-and-reuse
