Running into a dead-end trying to grock this internally. Did that use change version or are you saying that while on that specific version you stopped seeing it making calls?
Also where did you see those calls before? Do you have a bit more context?

We didn't change stripe versions, we were seeing those calls in our network logs

So the version has remained unchanged and you stopped seeing calls in your network logs. You mentioned a recent release: did you remove any functionality in that release?
