Thanks, taking a look
Okay so I see one checkout.session.completed event for that Customer (evt_1LlKrcGlyfQqa0B5ifFPEtsq) which aligns with sub_1LlKrZGlyfQqa0B57pEjzRJy where the initial invoice was successfully paid.
I'm not seeing another checkout.session.completed event though that indicates the initial Checkout was ever successful.
So it looks like the customer basically just created a new Session to successfully checkout the second time
But there was never a case here where the customer did not successfully pay and the Checkout Session actually was completed
that doesn't seem to be true from our analytics
from our analytics, she went through the checkout process, then we received a checkout success, and received webhooks that suggest the subscription was active. This all happened around 6pm on Sept 23rd. Then on 8:33am on Sept 24th, we received webhooks that said the subscription was inactive and the state changed to Incomplete Expired
The subscription was definitely active as of Sun, Oct 23, 2022 6:00 PM based on our analytics
@torn violet you still here?
The Sub that became active at 6pm was sub_1LlKrZGlyfQqa0B57pEjzRJy
The one that expired was sub_1LlCw5GlyfQqa0B5dEAo358V
I think you are mixing up your Subs
Take a look at the Events in your Dashboard here: https://dashboard.stripe.com/subscriptions/sub_1LlCw5GlyfQqa0B5dEAo358V
the one that I see as active is sub_1LlKrZGlyfQqa0B57pEjzRJy
Yes that is what I wrote above
the one I see as incomplete is sub_1LlCw5GlyfQqa0B5dEAo358V
Yep
That is also what I stated
So we are aligned
If you look at the events for sub_1LlCw5GlyfQqa0B5dEAo358V you will not see a checkout.session.completed event
ahh, okay, so she started checkout, did not complete it
and so 23 hours later, we received that webhook for that one
ahhh got it
okay thanks... one follow up, on events page, I can filter by that subscription event?
subscription ID?
how do I see all events related to that ID?
Yes
At the bottom
Click "View more events"
Then there is a filter in the top right
Where you can filter by type
from this page? https://dashboard.stripe.com/events
Sign in to the Stripe Dashboard to manage business payments and operations in your account. Manage payments and refunds, respond to disputes and more.
or from logs?
No, sorry. From the Dashboard page I linked above: https://dashboard.stripe.com/subscriptions/sub_1LlCw5GlyfQqa0B5dEAo358V
The Sub DB page
okay, there is no interface to it. I just append the ID?
Not sure what you mean by that exactly? You view the Subscription in the Dashboard. There are various ways to go there, but if you want to go there directly from URL then yes append Subscription ID to https://dashboard.stripe.com/subscriptions/
I just meant I had not discovered I could do that because I didn't see a place to insert a resource ID. So was just being clear that I have to append the ID to see that view?
basically for training others on the team to be able to do this
You don't have to. You could go from the Customer page for instance
So like go here: https://dashboard.stripe.com/customers/cus_Lppy0inMGQr8rh
Then you can see there is a Subscriptions area
Which will show active Subs
And there is a little button on the right that says "View 1 expired"
And you could get to this Subscription that way as well
There are a variety of paths.
But yeah, the URL route might be easiest if you want to just make it simple for your team
okay, sounds good... thanks
