Hey there, I can't really speak to the exact requirements... you can be an individual type of business and supply an SSN for instance, but I'm not an expert on this stuff as I focus on the API. I'd recommend talking to our Support team (https://support.stripe.com/contact/login) about exactly what you need to activate an account. That said, the account does not need to be activated to use test mode. You can use test mode as soon as you create an account.

One more thing, I am using stripe elements to receive payments for the first subscription cycle. Users have to enter their card details on the stripe element generated form.
Do I have to be PCI compliant to do this?
