we get a sales person who sold to a
customer (so they get 5% recurring commission) but then we also need 10%
commission to go to the sales director.

Gotcha, then yes, you would create Subscriptions on your platform and use Separate Charges & Transfers to transfer a portion of the funds to your Connected Accounts: https://stripe.com/docs/connect/charges-transfers
