AFAIK we show all tax IDs for the related customer on any invoices
Do you have an idea how could I validate GB vat?
We should do that: https://stripe.com/docs/invoicing/customer/tax-ids#gb-vat
Yes I'm aware but it says I should still check name and address, that's why I asked
I'm not sure! I guess a third-party API? HMRC maybe: https://developer.service.hmrc.gov.uk/api-documentation/docs/api/service/vat-registered-companies-api/1.0
I failed to find that endpoint before. Thanks a lot!
Btw - in test environment, Stripe will always says that registered TAX ID is valid, right?
Or it really runs validation against VIES?
I'm not sure, it should be easy enough to test. My guess is we'd always validate them
This is why I'm asking.
That's what I got so I suppose it's some dummy data.
I wanted to confirm with you.
Seems like its just faked yes
There are some test tax IDs you can use: https://stripe.com/docs/invoicing/customer/tax-ids#customer-tax-id-verfication
