Hello! starting up a thread for you

tired grove
#

do we need a separate stripe account for that?

#

It's the same business, but different sites

it depends on a couple of things - I assume you have different branding for this sub-brand, so if you're using hosted pages like Checkout and Payment Link then you'd need a separate account if you wanted the branding to look different for those pages

Hmm, would I not need to do that if I created my own checkout?

#

I think that might be quicker than verifying a new business right?

#

Oh wait I see the guy directly above is asking literally this

#

Oh no wait he's not using the stripe elements

Yes, you could move to creating your own checkout UI but I wouldn't say it's guaranteed to be quicker than verifying a new business since you'd have to update your integration and build it

Hmm, I'll take a peek

One quick thing - since you specifically mentioned this being a "sub-brand", I'd also suggest looking into Connect (https://stripe.com/docs/connect), especially if you have plans to add more sub-brands in the future

#

Each connected account can have it's own branding

ooh ok, so this is a route that would allow me to use your checkout and avoid registering a new business

#

Oh wait with elements would I still stuffer from the business name being on the credit card statement?

Ah, that's a good point - I had forgotten about statement descriptors
