Can you send me the specific error message that they are seeing here?

In this scenario, we are able to create a checkout session but are unaware that within the session Stripe is returning 500 errors when the customer clicks on pay.

#

{ "error": { "message": "An unknown error occurred", "type": "api_error" } }

Do you happen to have the ID of the checkout session?

#

Is this happening for all Checkout Sessions or just this customer as far as you know?

All checkout sessions, it's related to the paypal integration and we have been put into contact with the right team

#

Any paypal payment is currently failing for all our customers

#

It started around 5:39am CET but we only realized at 4pm it was happening due to a drop in revenue

#

So I am trying to figure out how we could have been alerted of this

#

Considering the checkout session payment link is not hosted by us but by Stripe

#

It was POST /v1/payment_pages/... endpoint that has been returning 500 errors

Thanks for the info. Let me check in to something and get back to you.

Hi there. Taking over for Pompey. Give me a moment to catch up here

#

Hi so I looked into this, and this is an open incident. The team is working on this

#

But unfortunately there's not a great way to catch these errors since, as you mentioned, it's a Stripe-hosted page. 500 errors don't generate a specific event that let's you know they're occurring

Is there a status page or something or a link to the open incident?

We have this page and also send out updates on our Twitter and Atom feeds. I actually don't see this one there at the moment, not immediately sure why. https://status.stripe.com/
