Refunds can still be performed, but the account balance will go into negative. Stripe automatically offsets negative transactions against future payments to ensure a positive Stripe balance.

Thank you, but that's not accurate. If we would perform a refund in a such a use case, there is an exception. I can provide details of exceptions if that helps.

Is there a reason why Paynow behaviour differs from Stripe's documentation and the payout schedule is not respected (it is set to 7 days for that particular account, but clearly money is released in 6 hours)?
