Hello ๐
I don't think that's supported
What's your usecase? Why do you want to issue a higher amount?
Just looking at this, and this may answer it https://stripe.com/docs/connect/add-and-pay-out-guide
We have housing associations and drivers regarding electric car charging. The HA pays us a maintenace fee to look after the chargers etc. The drivers pay us a subscription but also the cost of the electric. We need to pass the cost of the electric back to the HA so they can pay their electric bills obviously. I was wondering how to send them money each month
Gotcha
but that feature says it's only available in the US ๐ฆ
Yeah, have you looked into creating transfers instead?
https://stripe.com/docs/api/transfers
but that feature says it's only available in the US ๐ฆ
What feature exactly are you referring to?
The link I posted above "pay out money"
This feature is only available for U.S. accounts.
Sorry, I'm having trouble locating that string on the page, can you share a screenshot?
Oh interesting!! I don't see it. Maybe since I'm in the US, that's why. I didn't know our docs did that.
i'll have a play with connected accounts to see if i can do it that way
or is there a way to sign up for a beta so we can use that link above
As far as I know the guide you're looking at talks about Adding funds to your balance / top up which is only supported in the US.
You should still be able to create a transfer and send funds to the connected account using your balance
Have you looked into Stripe Connect at all or are you just starting?
just starting
what you said is helpful then, as we wouldn't want to top up, we're just a middle man for passing on the funds in the regard of the electricity costs
Yeah, if you account has positive balance then you should be able to create transfers to send money to your connected accounts (HA) as shown in the example
https://stripe.com/docs/connect/add-and-pay-out-guide?integration=with-code#with-code-pay-out-to-user
Just so that I'm on the same page, your Platform and connected accounts are in the same country correct?
that one i'm not too sure about
our company is based in norway but we have markets in germany, sweden, uk, netherlands
so will that be an issue?
It could have some implications
https://stripe.com/docs/connect/account-capabilities#transfers-cross-border
I'd honestly recommend talking to our support team about this as they'd know much more about availability and requirements

ok thanks for the help
NP! ๐ Good luck
