hi! What's an "ATM card" in this context?

Ultimately if it's a credit/debit card issued by .e.g. Visa/Mastercard/American Express , or is co-branded by those issuers(like it has their logo on it) we probably accept it. There are some cards that are only for access to ATMs though in certain countries and banks yes, and don't work for online payments with any payment processor.

For example, I have got an Italian co-branded PagoBANCOMAT + Maestro card suitable for ATMs and POS.
The cards has a number on it: could I use it to take an online payment with the Stripe Payment Intent flow?

I don't know. Sounds like probably not? Have you ever used that card for online payments? What does your bank say the card can be used for?

if you say it's only usable for ATMs and POS then I imagine it wouldn't work in a Stripe web integration like Elements/Checkout or any other online payment, but might work if used for a physical payment with our Terminal integration for point-of-sale.

My bank can activate the card for online payment with the Maestro circuit, as debit card... so I guess I could use it after my bank actives it, by the moment it has a 16-ciphers number on it

I guess I understand, thank you
