The documentation you linked is saying:

The Stripe Tap on Mobile library requires the latest version of the Terminal iOS SDK
And the latest version is 2.12.0

Can you share the exact error message you see? Also note that this feature is only available in the US (as mentioned at the top of the documentation page you lined)
