Hey! Indeed, seems we don't validate that field as a ISO country code like docs suggest
How are you integrating? As that would determine how the address.country field is set
It seems address.country accepts whatever I pass into it.
I just tested with United Kingdom and United Kingdom GB and both worked.
In dashboard I can update this field but the select element only has United Kingdom
So I believe that it does not validate which country is passed.
Yup, but the reason I ask if because if you're using certain UIs (Checkout), they may set a value to be the ISO code
If you're creating Customer objects yourself, then I guess you just need to set it to be the value you want it to be
Yes, we are using a custom integration so you are the ones responsible to set the value we want.
