as far as I know we simply don't support that(shadow DOMs or WebComponents). It's why for example for Vue.js which uses a shadow DOM you need to use third party wrapper libraries like https://vuestripe.com/ .

we have some public discussion of this at https://github.com/stripe/stripe-js/issues/143#issuecomment-770300541 and there isn't really any updated news I can share
