Can you share the ID of the request that returned a 400? I just attempted to update an archived Product and did not encounter an error while doing so.
Thank you! Okay, this is specifically about products that get created in an ad-hoc fashion, taking another look.
No, it is not possible to update Product objects that are created automatically by our processes. Which is going to feed into your second question, if you need more control over these Products then creating them explicitly will be advantageous. If you need to create Prices in an ad-hoc fashion, then you can do so but still attach those Prices to an existing Product object.

Is there a way to import a Excel file through the dashboard to create the products or will I have to write a method to generate all products through our site?
I'm not aware of a way to import Products, but that's a bit outside of the areas that we specialize in so you may want to confirm with our Support team:
