hello, that is the Separate Charges and Transfers fund flow: https://stripe.com/docs/connect/charges-transfers
Hi yeah, thanks, I see that the docs say is recommended for stripe Connect Express and Custom, So just wanted to know if that flow is possible for Standard as well.
It is possible for standard as well as the other account types 👍
Thanks so much, another couple of questions regarding this, if I split a payment into 2 different Standard Accounts: 1 do they see the invoices only for the part that correspond to them?
2 if they process a refund, only their portion of the payment will be refunded?
3 is it possible to see invoices for a express connect account? Thanks.
1 do they see the invoices only for the part that correspond to them?
They only see the amount they receive and some metadata about the payment
2 if they process a refund, only their portion of the payment will be refunded?
That depends on how your payment flow is set up and what you mean by 'refund'. If you refund the charge, there is no impact to the amount that was transferred to the connected account: https://stripe.com/docs/connect/charges-transfers#issuing-refunds You can separately reverse transfers as well though: https://stripe.com/docs/connect/charges-transfers#reversing-transfers
3 is it possible to see invoices for a express connect account? Thanks.
As the platform, you can see all the same payment data that the Express account sees and then some
Thank you so much, so another question regarding the invoicing, so if we go with flow 1 that is direct charges.
does the connected account sees the invoice? as are they able to see the fee that we took as the platform?
and also in the case we go with flow 3 separate charges and transfer, does the standard connect account can see an Invoice of the part of the payment that went to their account?
does the connected account sees the invoice? as are they able to see the fee that we took as the platform?
I would recommend trying this out in test mode and getting a sense for what they see. If you take an application fee, they will be able to see that, but you could also just deduct the platform's fee from the overall amount instead of using the application fee parameter, if you didn't want them to see it
Got it, thank you so much
Is there a possibility to setup a meeting with an account manager from connect team tomorrow anytime, we have a couple of questions from management regarding the connect interface. And it would be really helpful. Thanks
I'm not sure if that's possible or not. This chat is focused on developers and API integration questions. Our support team should have a workflow for this: https://support.stripe.com/contact/email
