Hello ๐Ÿ‘‹
Can you provide more information about your integration? Are you using JS SDK or Server-driven?
Can you also share the serial number of the reader?

Can you confirm if your reader is connected to the internet?

Thanks Hanzo. Just figured it out. We switched from destination to direct and didn't realize that meant the card reader would have to be connected to the client's account instead of ours

#

Is there an effective scenario where our card readers is connected to our account, but can accept direct payments on behalf of a connected account? It will help us in having to constantly re-connect our readers to other accounts.

Unfortunately, There isn't. With direct charges, the reader would need to be registered on connected account.

Alright. Thank you for your help.

Our lead developer really wants me to also ask if there is a way to get that feature into the roadmap for future upgrades. the goal is that we have a (small) fleet of card readers which will be rented out to the events which only operate for a few days every year, so it is not economically feasible for the event managers to buy their own equipment.

Sure thing. You can always delete the readers from the connected account and re-register it to a different connected account when the event is over.

If you need more granular control which we don't support today, you can write into our support team to file a feature request ๐Ÿ™‚ support@stripe.com
