card_payments is for accepting card payments, ideal_payments is for iDEAL payments, etc.
transfers is the ability to receive funds from the platform
Assuming you do Destination Charges + on_behalf_of you basically always need both card_payments and transfers

Sorry I don't know what you know of Connect but usually you learn about charge flows way before learning about capabilities

Thanks! One of our senior devs that is much more knowledgeable about our stripe integration is on vacation right now and i'm working on some discovery for us about how to handle an issue.
