then it just works the way described in the docs at https://stripe.com/docs/payments/accept-card-payments?platform=web&ui=elements&html-or-react=react for example, you can pass card: elements.getElement(CardNUmberElement), and that works too.

it's not working for sending to body of custom api (https://api.stripe.com/v1/payment_methods)

why would you do that?

you can't get the actual card number, that would not be PCI compliant. You use our Elements with our JS library.
