got it, I can go back to my team but they had recently discovered a shortcoming with Payment links which is why they moved to Stripe Checkouts as an option. So are you suggesting that my requirement mentioned above cannot be fulfilled using Stripe Checkouts?

Your method doesn't really work necessarily as a Checkout Session will expire in 24hours
You also won't really have a nice URL to place there if you are using a PDF

ahh that's news yeah coz the customer could open the document even after a week to make a payment

Payment Links are effective here because the Link can be visited anytime and that will generate the Checkout Session

so @prime bramble , Payment links, can they support around 2000 product varieties? My manager was talking to a stripe representative last week and he was told that payment links is only for limited products or recurring ones.

Well you would have to create multiple links for different product varieties.
Just like you would create different Checkout Sessions

so you're saying there's no limitation as such on the scalability of payment links as the business (therefore products) grows, correct?

I am not aware of a limit for the amount of Payment Links you can create, no.
