Hi there!

#

Good question — don't know off top of head... let me go find out

#

Can you clarify a little bit here as well... you are getting a permission prompt when you connect the M2 via USB, correct?

#

Which SDK are you using?

#

This is specifically when you are connecting though, not the prompt from discovery, right?

#

Ah actually, I see what you are talking about.

#

I haven't actually played with the M2 much myself... is this an Android-level prompt or is this coming from our SDK?

#

I would assume it is actually Android, no?

#

Ah actually I'm seeing something internally that indicates we should potentially be handling this.

#

If you just unplug / replug the device, does it prompt again?

#

Or is it only on like a full reboot

android level prompt

#

umm I'll have to play with the plug/unplug behavior

#

I know for the BBPOS Chippers, we had to modify the android manifest file and associate the device id to the app

#

I haven't tried that for M2 yet, but was more just curious if that was still the recommended solution

#

What did you mean by "something internally indicating we should be handling this?"

I looked at our code and I do think we should be suppressing the prompt if you unplug/replug

#

So if that doesn't happen then I think something is wrong. But if you are doing a full reboot I'm not sure if we handle that or not.

#

Give me a few mins to check with our Terminal team on expected behavior here

Haven't heard back yet but I've asked for clarification, just fyi.
