The fund flows remains the same, meaning fund will be pulled back from where it lands, which is the Platform account
is there somewhere where I can make a feature request to someone at stripe?
Sure you can reach out to Support. But what feature request is that specifically?
I don't understand why I can't split up a payment between multiple connected accounts without it ever going through my account. We are able to split it up between my account and a single connected account via the application fees, so it feels like it should be possible to split it between multiple connected accounts.
How about just do Separate Charges and Transfers (1 Charges, multiple Transfers) and leave 0 or just Stripe fee to your Platform?
I know that you will still bear the Stripe fee, as the Platform is the one owning the transaction
its convenient for the money going to the connected accounts to go directly too them
i have a legal requirement that any money going to the connected accounts never hits my bank account, and im very unclear on how my stripe platform account fits with that
Sounds like Direct Charge?
It requires all connected account to be Standard accounts tho
direct charges can only be sent to one account
i'd like to split them between multiple connected accounts
It still need one account to "own" the transaction. How would you decide who in the multiple connected account to own the transaction?
Like to calculate the settlement currency or fee structure
for mine that would still work actually
we do event ticketing
every event has an owner
the new feature we are trying to launch allows artists to be paid directly through the platform
so the event owner could own the transaction
and the money could all go directly to each individual artist along with the host without ever hitting any intermediary account
it would be nice if transfer_data could take an array of destinations
Thanks but I still don't get how it would be different with generating multiple Transfer APIs?
any money going to the connected accounts never hits my bank account
I think this is technically possible, if you make $0 of the transaction left on your Platform balance
Let's say you charge $100, take $3 application fee to cover Stripe fee , transfer $87 to connected account 1, then transfer $10 to connected account 2
in this instance the money goes to my account, then their accounts, whereas what i want is the money to go directly to their accounts.
that has the added benefit of a dispute taking the money back from their accounts rather than my account.
By accounts it means the Stripe Accounts balance, not the bank account, so I think it's good for your requirement? And yeah when dispute happens you would need to do Transfer Reversal
this scares me because i don't know the legal implications of my "stripe balance"
I think it would be better to reach out to Support. They know about legal requirement / accounts
Here we are an engineer team
is there a specific place i should look to ask?
 Have a non-technical question, account issue, or need one-on-one support?
