no, you can only use tax IDs in the formats that we support. If you need support for a country that's not there the best course of action is to reach out to support to raise the feature request.

Thank you for the answer. We currently have some customers from countries outside list (using old tax_id_info features).
Is there maybe any way we can create new customers like these? Is there any tax ID enum that allows any format of Tax ID (not being validated against its format)?

you could I suppose add the unsupported tax ID as metadata instead

obviously it won't be used by Stripe for any purpose though(but I suppose that's the same as the old behaviour? I don't know the exact API you were using in the past)

Yes, I don't think company uses it for now, just collecting and maybe displaying on invoice (i'm not sure). Nothing functional. Keeping it as metadata seems to be reasonable I think...
