I think mostly because you can't update a confirmed Payment Intent.

Under the Metadata section you can see “Course Serial #” field and associated info. I remember seeing a clip from Stripe - I just cannot find it.

Have you tried to call the Update PaymentIntent again to modify metadata?

I am not familiar with Cashier, but if you can directly call Stripe PHP SDK, you should have a method
