So yeah, if you are looking to set a shortened period after creation then a Sub schedule is the correct method

hello! ok thanks. i think we might have talked around this earlier too (we currently use trial period, after invoicing, which is really wonky)

Yeah so using a Sub Schedule will give you control for when you want to reset the billing anchor in the future.

As long as you set proration_behavior: none then you won't have a real issue with the timing

The part you cited is mostly because folks attempt to set the new phase to begin in one month, but they end up off by a few seconds.

Which makes for a proration mess

That's why we recommend using iterations

That said, with your case, you aren't going to run into that issue.
