What about for refunds on prorated invoices? Does Stripe Tax automatically recalculate/adjust taxes?

Oh no, so we haven't been recalculating taxes for prorations

The section in the same doc for Prorations sounded confusing. Thought that tax re-calculation occured for all instances if it was a proration

yes, I recommend writing to the Support team at https://support.stripe.com/contact for which docs need clarification, they can report that to the right team internally
