@wicked robin When you create a subscription we charge/finalize the first invoice immediately, no parameter is needed. If you are seeing otherwise, can you give me an example subscription or invoice id to look at?

yeah so, i have a few payment plans users can use. but if they buy a yearly reoccurring plan and want to upgrade to a more expensive yearly plan- they would have to wait a year for those benefits to come in, with how i have it set up

i would want it to switch over right away instead

Okay so this is specifically about upgrading a subscription and also not with your own code but specifically with the customer portal?

https://dashboard.stripe.com/settings/billing/portal allows you to configure the behaviour, including charging for the difference immediately

i have gotten to that page but I just don't see where I can edit that as an option, sorry if my question seems dumb im sure theres an easy fix

the last one

that last one allows you to do proration between the 2 prices, and that will then decide when to charge for the price difference

ah so it automatically calculates the price difference between the plans nice
