Thanks for sharing the request IDs. Card validation was performed when the card details is changed, and sometimes you might get the authentication error.

Can I suggest you to use SetupIntent to handle the card details update? so that you can bring your customer to your webpage and call stripe.confirmCardSetup (https://stripe.com/docs/js/setup_intents/confirm_card_setup) to carry out the 3DS if necessary.
