Hm. This might be too complex for a connect account, but let me see.

So the first charge is for a one-time payment or for a subscription? In other words, I thought we could not pass ideal as the payment method for a subscription.

Do i have the customer make a ideal payment for a price that is one-time or a price that is recurring? When you start with ideal and then switch it to SEPA?

Yeah. They can use our app so sell a one-time payment with either iDeal or SEPA or both. Or, they can make a SEPA subscription but seems complex to try to make an inital iDeal and then switch it over to SEPA??? Let me check with Customer Support on this one

OK, i am going to tell the customer that this is a really complex payment flow. We already allow iDeal and SEPA for one-time payments and SEPA for subscriptions. Really complex already!!!! So I am confused why someone would want or need to make the original subscription with iDeal and then hack it to move it to SEPA. Might be beyond what you guys can help with so i am going to ask the customer why should would want or need that!

if you are moving to SEPA anyway, why would you not simply set up a SEPA subscription from the start? ?

yeah, it is tricky for sure. Since iDEAL is a single use pm, this is an alternative to allow customers using iDEAL to still sign up and pay for subscriptions

but yeah directly integrating SEPA would be easier
