hi, the options for the possible retry timing would be what's in the dashboard settings page. I can't really answer a 'why' question, it's just how the product is designed, might be worth writing to https://support.stripe.com/?contact=true to explain the use case and raise the feedback so we can prioritise changes.

The options are 1, 3, 5 and 7 days. For my use-case I was hoping for a bit more fine-tuning/flexibility. I'll raise a ticket there. Thank you!
