hello! i'm not familiar with MUI, I'd suggest you write in via https://support.stripe.com/contact/email and provide a link to a simple sample project that replicates this issue. You can use for example : jsfiddle, codepen, github gists, etc and we can take a look

I could share code snippets here and a ngrok link that is running my local host if that would work?

Maybe a more general question would be, is there anything that the Payment Request Button needs in order to register google pay? We're in chrome and I have a registered payment method (card)

Or any gotchas when trying to render the button? It's rendering based on a conditional whether the payment request is saved in state

without looking at a working repro, we won't be able to comment on why it's not working. I would strongly suggest that you create a minimal reproduction of the issue for us to take a look at

if you share your ngrok link, is it going to always be available for us to access? and is the code non-minified?

The code from the browser is minified, I'd have to recreate sample code like you said to share that, but you can see the behavior exactly

Access...well if I rerun ngrok the address will change but if I keep it the same then yes
