Hi there! No we don't de-duplicate customers or provide any means to do so. You would need to handle this on your end.
I'd recommend having them authorize when they access your site and then you either use an existing Customer ID or create a new one.
also, is there any issue with the workflow where we accept a customer's payment and then set up a subscription in the background? We make it clear in the UI that a subscription is being paid for, but I wanted to check about stripes t&cs
No that is fine, it just may lead to a higher dispute rate if it isn't exceedingly clear to the customer that you are creating a Subscription for them.
Moving this here: When a customer goes through to our checkout, the country or region is always pre-filled to the same region as our company stripe account. Can we remove this pre-filling? Thanks
