When looking at the related Mandate, I'm seeing that is has a status of inactive, which indicates it can't be used for payments:

hm, can you pls clarify how it became inactive? this same customer has been able to use this mandate previously
@unborn forum just making sure you saw my question ๐
Apologies, I did and then got side-tracked.
Off-hand I'm not seeing any details about the lifecycle of that mandate, and when it moved to an inactive state.
Ah, found the cause. That mandate became inactive because a previous payment was disputed, so we consider the mandate to no longer be active.
Thank you! Do you know if it is a certain type of dispute that invalidates mandate or is it any dispute?
Hi ๐
I"m stepping in for @unborn forum as they need to go.
@lean flame now we are trying to understand in which cases SEPA disputes invalidate mandates
Right I'm looking into that but I haven't found anything specific.
I think it makes sense that a dispute would invalidate a mandate. Since the mandate essentially represents an agreement between the payer and the payee. A dispute means there is a disagreement about a payment which would invalidate the agreement the mandate represents
